John Westerfield completed his Master of Business Administration in General Management at the prestigious Harvard Business School in 1985. Prior to this, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Government at Dartmouth College, located in Hanover, New Hampshire. John Westerfield graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1981. John Westerfield spent the major part of his career with Morgan Stanley, beginning in 1985. There, he worked as Managing Director, performing tasks in several departments, including Investment Management, Fixed Income, and Investment Banking. He also became the Global Head of the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities Group. Upon attainment of full career status at Morgan Stnalye, John Westerfield chose to leave the firm to pursue his interest in commercial real estate investment activities.
